How to Make A Simple Slide Show Video Using Windows Movie Maker
Is Finally Here and Ready for you to Download for FREE!
<——————–Just click on the e-book to be taken to the download page ![]()
I had captured step by step screen shots whilst making a video in order to take anyone by the hand and lead them to produce their very own masterpiece.
The screen shots I posted in my how to….? section for everyone to benefit from, I also asked if anyone was interested in a pdf version and received a couple of requests.
I have been working on quite a few things over the past few days, the top of my list was to provide you with a Free copy of my step by step tutorial for anyone who is finding it difficult to produce a slide show video…………………….. Finally it is ready for you!
The problem I found was once I had completed my e-book I didn’t have a graphic
so now it was learning time again to produce an e-book cover to link it to the download link.
Making the cover actually took me longer than compiling the actual e-book itself …..I did it
all by myself, which I will also set up step by step for anyone who is interested, this is on my to do list but at the moment I cannot make it a priority
As soon as I find the time I will make a step by step tutorial on how to make an e-book cover and make it available as a free download
Coming Soon.
I really hope that my e-book will take the pain out of setting up a simple video, I would love some feedback from anyone who follows it and finds it useful.
This was the slide show video that I made
All the pictures in this slide show I got from iCLIPART.com – millions of downloadable royalty-free clipart images, photos, objects, web graphics, sounds and fonts by subscription.
this site is amazing, as once you pay the membership you can go for your life and download the lot, LOL
Real Value for money.
Thanks for reading
Tara

Hi Tara,
Well done! I don’t think anything can stop you now! I am quite smug myself, I haven’t promoting my blog and yet traffic is still coming, even getting search engine traffic, fantastic.
John.
PS thanks for your PDF, I am going to look for it now.

Stop on over to my blog, if you can. I’ve some pretty good reviews of all this WebProsperity thing — down home humor thrown in, too !
Again, great job on your effort.

Hello Tara,
What a great job, and congratlutions on all the great strides you are making!!
I am not a real techie person. so there have been days that I thought my brained would explode. In the past 6 sixs I have gained so much new knowledge, and am all about expanding one’s life to new horizons. Makes me feel alive (and tired
).
Keep up the awesome work and I will be back!

Hi Tara,
well done !! If you can answer me one question I would be very grateful. When you come to produce your movies how do you find they are compressing ? the reason I ask is because I have produced a couple of videos using a different programme and I seem to getting some wild differences in file size.
I normally download as an mpg4 file, do you do the same ?
Best wishes,
Paull

Thanks tara
I was one of those who asked for the ebook version. It’s great.
But, I’ve been struggling with creating ebook covers for ages.
So now I’d like to knbow exactly how you did it.

Hiya Paull,
I am a total newbie at making a video so some of what you are saying is way over my head, with windows movie maker I left all the settings as default, when it saved the video it saved it as a .wmv file. I uploaded this to http://www.heyspread.com who then distribute it to all the other sites, the third video I attempted to make was the one for the list building with Alex, here is the slide show video I made http://au.youtube.com/watch?v=Qv0BMr3Nx2s.
Hope this helps

Hi Lesley,
LOL I am not a techie person either, I find myself suffocated with information, then I end up playing around with tools, sometimes when things work out, I can’t remember what I did to make it work. Usually takes a lot for me to give up on anything though.
Thank you so much for your comments

Hi Tara,
Great ebook! I just learned how to use windows movie maker a couple of months ago and your book is way better than my trial and error approach.
I would love to know how you make ebook covers. When you have some time to share, let me know please!
One more thing, how did you get the list building with Alex picture on your page? (sorry for the repeat question on the fortunate 500)
I was able to do it once before but now I can’t remember for the life of me! Tips and advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks and congrats!

Hi Sarah,
Thank you so much for your comment, ok for now I will just add the steps in text form here for you to add alex’s e-book to the sidebar widget.
1. Make a folder on your server called images
2. Name your image alexjeffreys.jpg
3. Upload your e-book cover to the images folder
4. Inside wordpress go to widgets
5. Click add a Text/Html widget
6. Navigate to the new widget
7. This will be the code that you enter into the widget ……..
img src=”http://youDomain.com/images/alexjeffreys.jpg” alt=”listbuilding” /
ok when I tried to put the html code inside here to show you it disappeared from the post you need to put this < right infront of the img tag and > right after the / tag
8. Click update then view your blog
9. If the image is too big for the sidebar we can add width and height measurements to the code……
img src=”http://yourDomain.com/images/alexjeffreys.jpg” alt=”listbuilding” width=”100″ height=”160″ /…..
remember to add the opening and closing brackets <> right before the img tag and right after the trailing slash /
I hope this helps if you have any other problems don’t hesitate to ask
Thanks
Tara

Hi Tara,
I have been adding a image of Alex on the side bar but can’t get it done.
I just saw your reply comment to Sarah. Just a question here. How do you upload as e-book to the folder. Where do you get the image. I am sorry. I am totally new to this widget and videos.
Anyway, i am so happy that you put up this post. I will be going to download and read it later.
Thank you so much again.
Hope you bear with me for asking you so simple question. Took me so much time just to set PPP and my blog. Still got a lot of touch up to do on my blog and one of it is to add the image of Alex Jeffreys on top of the opt-in box. This is got to be my priority follow by the videos.
Do drop by my blog and feel free to comment.
Thanks again.

Thanks very much!
Your video is nice! What settings did you use to get it up
on YouTube?
And how do you get the title to appear when it’s not playing?
Also, I can help with ecovers too if you need it.
I have a couple of photoshop actions that do it too. And some templates and tutorials.
If you or any of your readers are interested, email me at
plyuwie@gmail.com
A tip Tara: Your ecover looks nice at a small size, but looks a bit fuzzy (pixilated) when viewed inside the book (front page). To get around that, make one in a higher resolution. Say 150 or even 300. It will increase the file size, but look a lot better.
January 14th, 2009 at 9:20 am
Hiya Paul,
Thanks for your comments it is really great to get feedback, with the video I made it with windows movie maker, then saved it to my computer, I then just uploaded it to heyspread, they change the format and post to many other sites, I didn’t actually upload it to youtube myself. With the music I put a fade in on it, I didn’t put the music to the very start of the picture, but this was an accident
With photoshop, I am very new, I have had the program for years but never got round to using it till the other day, I too noticed that inside the e-books the image quality wasn’t good, the covers looked brilliant in the word doc before I converted it to pdf, so yep a little baffeled as to why it did that because I didn’t change any settings from the one I uploaded to my blog. My main concern at the time was to get the books up and help out with some of the problems that people were having. I will fix them up later today and re upload them.
here is a video by Steven about formating videos hope this helps http://youtube.com/watch?v=at9iEdRxYIM
Thanks again

Hi Tara –
Thanks for the ebook – one of the first things I learnt was that this software is already on my machine (I checked, it is!). Very clear descriptions and when I make a slideshow video I will definitely have your PdF to hand! However, after listening to Maria Andros with Alex, I want to make a movie! Have so far got it off my camera and onto the computer! (Failing forwards VERY slowly!) LOL
How do you do all those screen captures with circles and annotations please? They’re very cool!
Cheers
Susan

Hiya Susan,
Thank you so much for your comment, for the Windows Movie Maker tutorial I used microsoft power point, and made slides, only it was a lot of work cutting them down and then saving each one as a picture then resizing them in photoshop, what I will do is update the “how to take a screen shot tutorial’ by Sunday night to show this using a word document.
