When you decide to write your first e-book chose a topic that you have some knowledge about, or at least have an interest in, don’t chose a topic that you have to spend hours researching as you could find that the research is eating up all of your time and in a lot of cases your book will remain unfinished.

When you have decided on what topic to run with its a good idea to first write a couple of articles related to your topic, distribute them to article directories, either manually (which could take days or weeks) or with this free, easy to use  Article Submitter Tool ( a huge time saver), once you have submitted your articles check your stats inside your article account, to see how many views your articles have received as this will give you a good indication as to what potential your finished e-book has for making sales.

Once you have completed your testing you can start writing the content for your e-book, decide on a layout and  make it look professional. Try not to use a dark background as some people will find it hard to read, and will really dislike you if they intend to print it off.

Make a Draft of what you need to include in your e-book…..

Introduction

Body

Conclusion

Resources

You could also include a bonus section, at the end but make sure that what ever you are offering is related to your e-book and that it will provide extra value.

For each section of the e-book,  set up sub topics.

Lay out the main plan of your e-book, then just fill in the gaps.

Try to keep your e-book to a maximum of around 50 pages, due to the fact that if some people don’t own a printer it could prove to be really hard reading from the screen.

Keep on topic, keep your reader interested and don’t BABBLE.

Break the text up, Use Pictures…..Remember a picture says a Thousand Words!

Offer Good, Useful, Valuable  information.

This will keep the reader interested in what you have to say, they don’t know you personally but if they can read your book and run with the info you have provided for them, the benefits are endless! on both sides.

Writing your first e-book may feel like one of your biggest challenges, keep it simple, Plan it out and everything will fall into place.

Thanks for reading

Take Care
