How To Make A Video Using Windows Movie Maker…

I wanted to make a video to express the way I felt about trying to build a list on-line, the long hours, the conflicting advice and confusion, then to be lead by the hand by Alex Jeffreys himself and Taught exactly how to build a list the real way!

I had a song already in my head, my next task was to put pictures to the words, so I logged into my favourite image site iCLIPART.com – millions of downloadable royalty-free clipart images, photos, objects, web graphics, sounds and fonts by subscription.

The reason I like this site so much is because its a one time payment, no paying per picture or download, it also has a variety of memberships available, it is the best value for money that I have come across online, they have an extensive range of pictures, web graphics and more.

Not knowing what I was doing I decided to take it one challenge at a time, I downloaded quite a few pictures but still had no idea how I was going to turn them into a video…..I love to play! especially when I achieve what I am trying to do.

Once the pictures were downloaded I had to then re size them in photoshop, I clicked save for web then changed the image size and saved them to my computer.

I then opened windows movie maker to start putting my pictures into some sort of order, below I have screen shots of the exact steps that will take you from beginning to end.

I will be making a video of this series along with a pdf if anyone wants it please leave a post and I will make it available as a free download :-)

  4. Hi Tara

I downloaded the ebook and then read it, you make the process very simple. Just one question how did you get the screenshots?

I have spent most of the weekend trying to figure out how to use Cam Studio Pro without success so this will help me a lot.

  7. Hi Tara,

I agree with all of the other comments, if you can’t follow this extremely detailed tutorial on making a video, you might as well pack it up and go home! You have done an excellent job with this and I was one of the many people who’d avoided getting started making videos for lack of knowledge.

I can’t wait to go through this tutorial and make a video from the training. Thanks for putting in the long hours it must have taken to make this post. You are very talented and have an eye for details.

    Take care,
    Kevin

  10. Hi,

Many thanks for this tutorial, very easy to follow. This was the first ever time I have even attempted to use movie maker and I’m so chuffed I already have heaps of ideas for future movies and very excited about the prospect.

I have used movie maker by uploading photos so far and now wish to attempt and upload clips from video footage. I’m a little unsure how to EDIT the video footage before adding it to my movie maker but I’m determined so I’ll get there in the end.

    Thanks for all your help.

    Claire

  11. Hiya Claire I’m glad it helped, if you get stuck gimme a hollar and I will help you out.
